RE: Cleopatra 850 on ebay
Hi 'Awfullynicefella',
The only place I can't get is into Bedford itself, the bridges are too low, the majority of larger boats have to lower their windscreens flat, unfortunately having a hardtop does'nt allow that. ![]() atb Ron Mc |

RE: Cleopatra 850 on ebay
I have never sailed the 'Middle Levels' and have no info from anyone that has taken a hardtop cruiser through, this link may help you find answers to you query though.

RE: Cleopatra 850 on ebay
Hello again,
Just an update on how things are going with Great Escape, my refurb is now complete and the boat is on the water, I am very, very happy with it. I launched it at the beggining of June and have since been out on the Wash and covererd some 500 miles cruising the east midlands. I am however after some advise, I have been experimenting with props, I have tried a 15/19 and a 15/17, (I found with one the boat achieved about 6 knots cavited a lot and would rev to the gate, with the other the boat seemed much happier, max revs 2400 RPM and giving 7.5 knots, this is the one I am currently using. Do you think this is around the best performance I could hope to achieve on a single perkins 4108 on a 270 leg? Rinus, very sorry I will get your questionare completed and upload some photos ASAP. |

RE: Cleopatra 850 on ebay
If you know the max revs at wide open throttle then you should be able to achieve this fully loaded, too much pitch= labouring engine and black smoke, too little pitch= high revs with little bite from the prop, hope this helps, Steve
