RE: HELP IVE GOT BIG TROUBLE
Hello Graham,

I will send you the PDF files to your private mail.
When the bearing of the shaft is worn out and has seized in the housing , I guess it is difficult to repair it yourself. You in fact need special material as the bell housing is a special type of cast aluminium. I guess it is wise to put an extra anode near the housing. I wonder what the guys of Lancing Marine will say to this.

Lots of succes, and I hope for a moderate price for you...

Rinus

Hi Graham,

How are you? And I guess you must have gotten some news from Lancing Marine.
I am very curious what they plan to do. And I am afraid it is another black hole in the water.

hi rinus it was bad news to begin with, first thought from lancing was that the bell housing could be bolted to their lathe to be reamed out and sleeved with anew bearing , job done i was full of hope until later in the week, after speaking with lansing it had not been possible to fit the bell housing on the lathe and mike needed to remove the volvo end piece so that it could be reamed out he thought that in doing that the bell housing would be rendered useless aprx price was going to be in the region of 700 pounds but he said give him a couple of days and there may be anther solution, any way i rang him and he now thinks he wont destroy the bell housing in cutting off the volvo bit so the cost should be around 300 pounds. hope u are well regards graham
