Hi all
Hello, we've just taken on a project which is badged up as a Cleopatra 700.

Not the toughest of jobs to fix up to be fair (famous last words) BUT Id be very keen to replace the boats external wooden rails with chrome or similar.

Has anyone else here done this? if so who are the best people to talk to about getting these items?

Alternately can they be cannibalised from other vessels parts?

Be grateful for assistance

Oh, one of the items we need is a replacement light mast, any suggestions as to whether these are available in chrome too?

Cheers

RE: Hi all
Best or luck with it. I've just started sanding the varnish off my Fox 700 and intend putting oil on instead or varnish...

RE: Hi all
And...
Do not forget to return the questionaire..

I do have a 850, and took the wooden hand rails off and made stainless steel ones.
You keep on applying varnish.... At least 5 layers are needed to keep it spic and span.
My father was a carpenter, so I inhereted the love for wood. But I do not like the returning work.

Regards,

Rinus

RE: Hi all
I agree, varnish takes a lot of upkeep, looks nice when shiny and new though!

RE: Hi all
Thanks for the welcomes & advice

We are taking her out in the morning for the first time, just to make sure the engine is as sound as we were told, also to make sure the pump removes the couple of inches from the erm..... bilge

Once we are happy we are completing the deal, when this is done i'll start a blog here (with photos) showing the work we have planned......
